Happy New Year, everyone!
We want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude for your unwavering support in 2024. It's incredible how quickly the year passed, and it feels surreal to think that hōm is turning 3 this year!
You may have noticed that we’ve been a bit quiet over the past months, and we totally understand if you've been wondering where we've been. 2024 brought its fair share of challenges, both in our professional journey and our personal lives, and we needed time to rest, reflect, and regroup. For a small, two-woman team like ours, it can be tough when one of us is out of commission. Unfortunately, Van’s health required attention, and there were times she had to be hospitalized. But through it all, we’re grateful for the space to pause, recharge, and refocus.
The C&C Cup, our first wedding souvenir project
We began 2024 with an incredibly meaningful custom cup order for Calvin and Chelsea's wedding in Bali. It was a truly surreal experience, and to have our cups serve as a symbol of their union was deeply moving. Being part of such a special moment between two amazing people was an unforgettable way to start the year.
The Flow Collection, En Ceramics, and Krav Pottery
Van's health then began to decline, and our corporate workload started to increase. Despite the hurdles, we were so excited to launch our 2nd Anniversary Collection, Flow, in April 2024 — our very first 100% handmade collection! This wouldn't have been possible without our talented artisan partners, En Ceramics and Krav Pottery Bali. A huge thank you to both teams for making this vision a reality. We were beyond touched by the warm reception to our first matcha bowl, the Sanna Matcha Bowl, and we loved seeing your support for the Flow Collection. Working alongside these artisans to bring the Bhumi Cup, Gaia Cup, and Sanna Matcha Bowl into the world was a deeply fulfilling experience for us.
Lynk x hōm
Another highlight was our collaboration with Lynk Fragrances, turning our handmade Audra Cup into the Audra Candle. This unique piece was made possible by Lynk’s expertise in candle making and is designed to be repurposed once the candle has burned down. Whether as a cup, home décor, or anything else you can imagine, the idea of circularity was at the heart of this creation. It’s a vision we’ve always had, and seeing it come to life was a truly special moment for us. We’re so grateful to Tina and the Lynk team for bringing this idea into fruition!
Our Commitment
As we step into 2025, we are more inspired and energized than ever. There’s so much in the pipeline, and while we can’t spill all the details just yet, we’re thrilled for what’s to come. Above all, we want to assure you that our mission and values remain steadfast. We’re here to help you live intentionally, to create meaningful everyday homeware (and maybe a little bit more ;)), supporting our grand cause to help create comfortable homes one little piece a time.
Wellness continues to be an important part of hōm which is why we've chosen to donate to Limitless, a local non-profit organization that aims to end powerlessness in youths caused by poverty, mental illness & social inequality and empower them regardless of background, circumstance or history to fulfill their utmost potential. Thanks to all of you who supported us in 2024, we’re able to contribute to funding therapy sessions for young people in need. Every purchase you made has made a difference, and we couldn’t be more thankful for your support.
